WHY YOU DON’T HAVE CLIENTS

A lot of business owners complain about not having clients or not attracting the type of client they want. This can be disturbing to an entrepreneur/ creative. However, what are those things that hinder you from getting clients or the right people to your business? For every problem, there is a cause and that should be tackled if you are serious about progressing in your businesses.

On this article you will get to find out those loopholes that need to be paid attention to by business owners.

  1. You focus more on the money than the work: A lot of business owners are crazy about the amount of income they want coming into their businesses and forget about the clients' needs and the importance of giving quality. Focusing on the short run i.e. the income coming in than the amount of referrals they can get in the long run for good work.
  2. You tell clients you can do something for them you have not done for yourself: This is another important aspect we tend to overlook. Clients are very observant and they go to any extent to find out about your business. You cannot tell a client you will help him make a thousand sales when your business barely makes 500 in a year. They don't want a piper's dream; they want to see how you can key in what you have done for yourself into theirs.
  3. You rant about how busy you are with other clients: Clients don't care about how many other people are on your list. They want to have the full conviction they are a priority to you because it assures them you will handle their work with care and attention. By treating them as a priority, it is a confirmation that you take them seriously and you will deliver well.
  4. You don't believe in your potential clients' business/ product: People want someone who believes and understands their vision. For someone to understand and believe in it means they will be able to deliver a good service. They want people who will listen and help them solve problems.
  5. You want to charge 10x more for a mediocre job: Are you someone who is ready to cut off your client's neck and still deliver a half-baked job? That is one of the reasons people are running away from you. Do a good job, focus on a good delivery and charge depending on what you have offered or will offer.
  6. You are not attractive: If you want clients, be someone that they want even more. Try out new things, techniques, continue to evolve. A lot of people are stuck on old methods or style which keeps them stagnant. Keep stepping up your game and definitely will get people wanting more of what you have to offer.
